Bearman: "The podium was a dream but the strategy was right, Haas made the most of what they had"

Bearman: "The podium was a dream but the strategy was right, Haas made the most of what they had"

The young driver admitted he was surprised when he was called to the pits for the second time after the race:

"At that moment I thought we could have been on the podium and was shocked when I was called up. But after watching the whole race I realised the strategy was right. The team achieved maximum results without taking any big risks."

Bearman noted that Haas's late-season upgrades are paying off:

"The changes we made after Silverstone have had a positive impact on the car's character. There are still minor instability at high speeds, but the overall feel is much better. We now know we are strong at race pace."

Bearman stated that the team's goals for the rest of the season are clear, saying, "Every point is valuable now. It doesn't matter to me whether I finish 10th or 12th, but finishing 6th directly impacts next year's budget. I wouldn't hesitate to give my teammate an advantage if necessary."

Bearman aims to deliver a similar performance in Brazil:

"If we can replicate the race pace we had in Mexico, we will be in the points battle again. This car deserves points now, the important thing is to take advantage of the opportunities."
